Hilltowns of Elba
oil on board
9.5" x 13"
$75.
The Virtual Paintout went to Elba this month. Elba is an island off the coast of Tuscany best known for "hosting" Napoleon during his first exile. I wanted to paint something that captured Italy's unique qualities - the lush vegetation, the walled towns on so many hill tops, the old and the new side by side.

This painting can be seen along with my other works at my Gallery at The Daily Paintworks. It can be purchased there, or bought directly through me by clicking the "Paypal" logo on the sidebar.  Thank you for stopping to look.

Waiting Up
13" x 9.5"  oil on board
sold

If you know or love anyone who works late into the night, you will understand what this painting is about. Of course, it might tell a different story to other people...

This "nocturnal" piece has a "floating frame" attachment, and can be hung as is, or framed if you like.

Still Life with Daffodils
14" x 18"  oil on canvas
$400.

The daffodils are are poking their green shoots up through the cold ground, and will soon be starting to bloom. Then spring cannot be far behind. Such exquisite flowers make me want to bring them in and paint them! The Dutch Masters were a strong influence for this piece.
