Bay Area Haze
9" x 12"  oil on canvas
 $75.

We don't get a lot of haze air in the San Francisco Bay Area in winter, but when we do it is kind of pretty to paint! Not so pretty to breathe of course. This area has gotten almost no rain in the past several months and it shows in the air - dusty, dry, and , well, full of color.  It's perfect weather for plein air painting - but we could really use some rain.

This piece is painted on all sides of the canvas. It can be framed up, or  hung  as  is.

See more of my work - please visit my Gallery page at the Daily Paintworks, or at the Plein Air Artists, a website showing  all styles of plein air painting. There are also quite a few landscape painting pages on facebook - you can find me there!

 Sunrise,
Shoreline Park
11" x 14"  oil on canvas
 $75

Starting with a photograph I took last summer, this piece was an exercise in painting fast, getting it right the first time, and allowing only 20% for overpainting.   Well... that was the plan, and I pretty much stuck with it, so, not too bad. I did start with a good underpainting, so I would know where everything went. You painters should try it!

This painting is painted on all sides, so you can hang it as it is or have it framed.

To purchase this piece, please click on the Paypal "Buy Now" link on your upper left, or contact me via email (under "To purchase a painting...").
