Reminiscence
12 x 9 “ Acrylic on canvas

The beauty of an illustration? You get a picture that tells a story. Sometimes the story is already there, but sometimes, you make one up. When you do, no two stories - just as no two people - are alike, and that's the charm. What is the story here? To me, this is a story of a long night of reminiscence, a story written into a journal, happy memories, but to someone else it might be quite different. It also reminds me of a line from a Shakespeare play ("Night’s candles are burnt out, and jocund day stands on the misty mountain-tops”) but you will have your own thoughts. There in lies the beauty of an illustration.

This painting is painted on all sides of the canvas. It could be framed, but it could also be hung up, just as it is.
