Up Close and Personal
9” x 12”  acrylic on box-canvas

Mini-carnations often grace my kitchen table, and often I have wondered how hard it would be to paint them. Turns out it’s pretty hard to get them just right. It has turned from a what I thought would be a quick’n'easy floral painting, to a very meticulous study, to a flower portrait. I may never need to get so involved again - it got very close and personal!

This is a wrap-around or box-canvas, and it is painted on all sides. It is 1.5” deep, and hangs flush against the wall. You could frame it further if you wanted, but it doesn’t need it.

To see more of my work, please visit my Gallery page at The Daily Paintworks, or visit one of the other sites I show at. Facebook has several groups devoted to painting. The Art of Flowers is one of them. Thanks for looking!
