The Virtual Paintout has traveled to New Brunswick, Canada for the month of November, and I stopped to paint this lovely stand of trees. They seemed to be in harmony with this autumn season. It seems like I could have been standing out there on the roadside painting just yesterday.

Artist's Statement

My main goal as a painter is to express the beauty I see around me. I feel that this is my mission in life, and I take it seriously.

I love the process of painting, itself, and me, color is the best part. I see color theory as an evolving concept, one that never ceases to amaze and delight, so to learn more, to do better... this is where I am a seeker!

I hope you enjoy these paintings, I think I can honestly say I work long and hard over them. Not because I'm a perfectionist - I'm certainly not - but because I understand that all these pieces will last a very long time. Artists, I think must also be craftsmen. We must strive to create a thing of integrity and (for me) beauty for others to share in and enjoy.
