This painting says to me what I hope for our future: simplicity and beauty, a feeling of renewed strength and optimism.
"Magnolias" is mixed media, with oil paint and gold leaf. Painted on the sides, too, it is framed in a shadow-box frame with a (hand done) gold leaf border, so that the frame and painting are one.
