Late Summer,
Community Garden
12 x 16”  oil on canvas
sold

With this drought, the seasons slide slowly into one another, the heat lasts, the water comes from hoses, not rain. The community garden is a tapestry of different seasons, summer veggies finishing, while the fall plants are just starting up. Sunflowers grow next to pumpkins, cornstalks retain their green leaves, and second harvests sit next to winter hopefuls. Sunny afternoons are followed by colder nights, and soon the pumpkins will come out and the spinach and ruby chard will take over. Yes, this is a fall garden image, but it is a painting that took a while to "grow" and develop!

This piece is painted on all sides of the canvas, so it can be framed, or hung up just as it is.

  White Tulips
12” x 16”    oil on canvas
sold

There is something about white tulips - both elegant and simple, they evoke a sense of purity as well as great sophistication. They are a favorite of painters, and for a very good reason. I enjoyed painting them, I hope you enjoy seeing my effort!
