It was a bright summer morning at the Annex, as you can see. The mountains, though usually appearing blue, took on a violet hue, and that large tree had leaves that seemed like lacework in front of them. I had to paint fast to capture it as I saw it.

This piece is painted on all sides, so it can be hung as is, or can be framed up nicely.

While traveling with The Virtual Paintout through Zealand, in Denmark, I could not resist stopping to paint these yellow mustard fields. They seemed to glow under the lowering skies.

Windmill at Lyngby

Everybody associates windmills with Holland, but Denmark has it's share of them. The Virtual Paintout went to the island of Zealand this month, and I found several wonderful places to stop and paint from the Google maps. I came across this windmill in Lyngby, near Copenhagen, at the Open Air Museum.

This painting has been painted on all sides - minimaly, so you could have it framed, or hang it just as it is.
